The Spice Girls was one of the most popular girl bands of the 90s, celebrating hit after hit and becoming the musical icons of the young girls of this time period. Each of the 5 rock stars had their own unique look, known by their nicknames of Ginger, Posh, Sporty, Baby and of course Scary Spice.
A Scary spice costume is based mainly on the style of clothing each girl wore. Over the years, their styles have changed several times, but most group Halloween costume ideas are based on the way they looked in the early days. Probably the boldest of the Spice Girls, Scary Spice was known for her rather aggressive in your face kind of style, but also liked to change things up a bit and surprise her fans with a more feminine look. The more outgoing Scary Spice usually performed and appeared in public wearing a sports bra type of top and baggy cargo style pants and combat type boots. The “scary” part of Scary Spice was mostly her hair. It was curly, wild and big and you would probably have to order the wig online or find it in a costume store! Scary Spice did however; often show a somewhat softer “diva” sort of look at times. Occasionally the sports bra top and cargo pants were replaced with leopard skin leggings and a matching spandex crop top.
You might find a Scary Spice costume of this sort online or in specialty shops, and it would be really easy to create your own look too. There were performances where Scary Spice also wore a skirt or dress. They were always styles that showed off her figure well and shouted “Girl Power” all the way! That costume looks scary but not that much so that one can get scared by looking at the costumes. Last Halloween I wore the costume of devils but they didn’t look scary. So can you give some more scary costume idea. so that for the next Halloween I will surprise my friends.
