Easy Eighties Costumes
When you need to think of a Halloween costume, it just doesn’t get any easier than eighties costumes. Many things from the eighties are quite unforgettable…the movies, the songs and the fashion. It was a time of change almost as interesting as the 60s. Songs were much more “rock” movies were much more sci-fi, and fashion turned punk. There are plenty of easy ways to dress up for Halloween if you take your inspiration from any of these things. Certain people have remained famous over the next decades and this article will provide some details for these costumes.

Probably the most famous of Michael Jackson’s looks is the Thriller costume. This is usually made up of a shiny red “leather” jacket with the black v-trim, red pants, white socks, black shoes and the famous white glove. You can also try to find a black curly wig to finish the look, along with some cool shades. Go all out and use face paint to make your look really authentic. You could also consider being one of the zombies from the Thriller video as another eighties costume. A little bit of ghostly face paint and some dirty, ripped and torn clothes are all you need for this one!
Madonna Costumes

Madonna is definitely a rock icon of the eighties. There are a variety of looks you could choose for a Madonna costume, but probably the most well known is the Material Girl look. An outfit would have to include a halter style black dress with a full lacy skirt, black lace gloves, high heel black ankle height boots and black lace anklet stockings. A blonde wig and sunglasses would finish this eighties costume off just perfectly.
Punk Rocker
For a more generic costume from this popular time, you can easily become a punk rocker. Just combine almost any graphic tee with some ripped jeans for the punk rocker costume. Spike your hair and spray paint it with bright washable dye in two or three different colors and you’re done!
Beetlejuice Costume for Halloween
This is an eighties costume that you will likely have to buy. Many online costume suppliers carry this one as it was one of the most remembered movies of the eighties. The striped suit and crazy wig are the signature items for this one!

you have to have the big earrings, hair, and bow – those are must-haves. I would definitely tease your hair. Last year I was an 80′s girl and I bought some zebra leggings, converse, a pink latex mini skirt, and cut a t-shirt and made it an off-the-shoulder crop top. I braided my hair the night before and teased my swoop bangs – it was awesome. I would also look into some lace fingerless gloves although you may not have enough time to find them… have fun!!!

An 80′s costume must have bold colors! The 80′s just wouldn’t be the 80′s without those hideous colours.
