Costumes of Indiana Jones This Halloween
From sacred stones to the Holy Grail, slithering snakes and magic spells, the Indiana Jones movies are packed full of danger, adventure, suspense and action. Some say the three movies; Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Temple of Doom, and The Last Crusade were the best trilogy ever made. And now the man in the hat is back with a fourth film, The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Whether you share this opinion or not, there can be no argument that the movies are good, and have no doubt inspired many a little person and adult alike to transform into this adventurous hero on Halloween.
The feature item of any costumes of Indiana Jones must be the hat. Usually large and brown, it is the true signature piece of this movie adventurer’s outfit. Most costumes will include a felt hat, but deluxe ones may also offer a hat made of faux leather that is more durable. A brown band encompasses the hat and some may have an Indiana Jones pin attached.
Some Indiana Jones costumes will consist of a simple tunic, hat and trousers, while more deluxe versions offer pull on khaki trousers, brown leather like jacket, complete with zippered pockets, and of course a brown banded adventure hat.

Of course no adventurer’s outfit would be complete without a few accessories to help fight off demons and snakes. A coiled whip that clips to the trousers as well as a handy satchel for holding necessary tools of the trade add a realistic touch. The satchel comes with a long shoulder strap for throwing over the shoulder to keep those evil fighting tools within easy access. Although it is not very big, it could maybe even serve as a trick or treat bag for a small adventurer.
And just in case you may need to cut your way through the jungle of goblins on Halloween, there is also a shiny silver plastic machete that you can clip to your belt as well. It’s just another trademark accessory that you may want to include in your Halloween costumes Indiana Jones .
A great assortment of costumes of Indiana Jones this Halloween are available online. Be sure to shop early so you can be the first to find the holy grail of candy this Halloween.

I just love Indiana Jones. Never a dull moment, and he’s always got some love interest/heroine going on the side… The best movie, I thought, was Raiders of the Lost Ark. Of course, Harrison Ford is always so adorable…

Raiders of the Lost Ark is one of my all time favorite movies. I love movies with settings in the 1930’s and 1940’s and I’m a World War 2 history buff. And no one could have played Indiana Jones but Harrison Ford. One more thing, the soundtrack is awesome!

Funny how an actor just completely owns a role. I too love Harrison Ford in the Indy films but apparently it was originally lined up for Tom Selleck. And then Nick Nolte was even considered before Ford came along. Can you imagine anyone else but Harrison Ford playing Indy ? I can’t.
